I worked at Respironics full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Not too many. Close if you live in Murrysville.

    Cons

Big company attitude. Cuts made at will. Lots of overtime. Really went downhill after Philips took over. Many experienced people have left or are unhappy there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up! This was once a great place to work. The big company culture has taken over and squeezed out all the good things. You need to make it great again. What would Jerry think?

I have been working at Respironics as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Fantastic supervisor and co-workers, lots of technology practices to learn and follow. It is great to expanded my technical knowledge here.

    Cons

Being a contractor is not my ideal situation, as I would like to become a full time employee. This will hopefully come with experience and time. Also the cafeteria food is not fantastic.

I worked at Respironics as an intern

    Pros

Had a really great culture pre-Philips when I was there. Interesting research work available to technical employees and a pretty good intern and mentoring program.

    Cons

It seemed like the culture changed negatively after the acquisition. There seemed to be limited room for advancement. After the acquisition it seemed like product development was more focused on cutting costs than developing new features and innovating.
