I have been working at Retail Decisions full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

autonomy, no shortage of work, flexible hours, steady supply of caffeine, respect, fairness, openness, camaraderie, competence, fun environment

    Cons

change can be slow to implement, understaffed, needs realistic project and resource planning, overcommitment of resources, difficult work/life balance, stressful

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please find us money to hire more people. We can do better work if we get more hands to help with the lifting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay and bonus are below average for the hours and overtime we put into.

I have been working at Retail Decisions

    Pros

Great people who work for the company, some very good managers (personally and skillwise), interesting products and services, good variety of technologies, get to see many aspects of the business.

    Cons

Pay is not always competitive; bonus and raise scheme seems haphazard and is not documented; many staff believe that the CEO is out of touch with the business and has no real appreciation for how it runs from day to day

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should regularly evaluate your employee's salaries in regards to general market conditions; You need to hire more people - not enough resources to get the job done; There needs to be a clear vision that is passed down to the employees.

    I worked at Retail Decisions

    Pros

Small company can be a pro for opportunities, willing to pay for the right people, some decent folks remain there.

    Cons

Ultimately owned by the UK, dealing with time difference can be frustrating at times for some. I personally never had an issue.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The only concern would be level of turn over at Retail Decisions in the Sales and sales Management space here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to input more monies into projects.

I have been working at Retail Decisions

    Pros

People are fantastic and the technologies are impressive. Staff have a real can-do attitude and desire to improve things for customers. The dedication evident in staff members is impressive.

    Cons

Micromanagement from senior management and unwillingness to bolster resources to acceptable levels. Salaries are not reflective of what's on offer in the market.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Micromanaging is not necessary, provide resources where required and establish proper communication from the management team to the company. There are fantastic people working at ReD but under-staffing, ad-hoc bonuses / payrises and nonexistent management communication are major issues.
