    Pros

Usually not too stressful, basic day-to-day functions, not much excitement or change from one day to the next, some great patients and co-workers, decent parking

    Cons

Difficulty scheduling, no paid time off if a part-time employee, semi-difficult patients, not very organized, kind of a dead-end position

    Pros

Most of the Nurses are excellent. There is a very stringent hiring process but the results of late are really poor choices by management. They skimp on supplies to save pennys and waste thousands of dollars on wining and dining their doctors while the residents' supplies and food choices are cut to the bare bone

    Cons

The staff is treated like dirt. The Executive Directors are evil and don't care about anything but themselves and their own profits. Every year they lay off those who work the hardest and wonder why important care isn't getting done.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue! When in the caring for people business your best asset are your people! Word of mouth is a strong advertiser for your future success! Unfortunately, you have hurt too many people to go back now!

    Pros

Revera is a respected company that educates, appreciates, and celebrates its staff and residents. Residents are our number one priority and they are treated with dignity and respect. We have approachable management and a wonderful staff who do a very good job every single day. Our building in particular has been around for decades so we have been able to maintain a home like environment where residents and their families are treated as family. We are listened to, and have a big emphasis on teamwork and comfort for the people we care for. wouldnt want to work for anyone else.. I love my job and Ive been there for over sixteen years and Im still learnng! since Revera took over Forest Heights I have seen ao many improvements...in supplies especially and in accountability and charting. Every year it seems to just get better. A wonderful place to work

    Cons

No orthadontist coverage.... Ive heard recently there will be PSW layoffs, We are short staffed a lot, especially during the summer and are expected to do the same quality work with less hands.
The older generation of staff can be intimidating and some new people choose not to stay. We need people with patience, kindness and respect to help recruit AND KEEP PEOPLE FOR THE LONG TERM

    Advice to Management

To understand what goes on on the floors, I think its importamnt to be on the floors to fully understand our day to day goings on. Be available and approachable and work together to provide the best care possible for the people we care for. Get to know us, make it easy to communicate our concerns, listen and encourage us. Tell us we are doing a good job, make us accountable and listen to every side of the story. Smile
