    Pros

The work is easy once you've learned where to find the information.

    Cons

Management is awful. It's similar to Office Space where the guy has several different people talk to him every time he makes a mistake.

Write-ups: You get written up for arriving at your desk 1 minute late. You get written up for leaving for lunch 1 minute early. If there's an ice storm, you'd better find your way to work or you won't get paid--but only if you're in the Customer Support department.

Promotions don't happen unless you're popular. There's really not much of a career path in the Customer Support group.

The place will take everything you have to give, and then it will ask for more.

    Advice to Management

If you're going to have someone perform the duties of Supervisor, make him/her a Supervisor. If someone is going to perform the duties of Manager, make him/her a manager. Not doing this just confuses everyone.

    Pros

    Decent pay
    Nice people
Not a lot of other pros that I can think of. Didn't like the company that much.

    Cons

Not a clue about professional services
Not a clue about recruiting and retaining qualified talent
    Too much cronyism and favoritism

    Pros

Good benefits, flexible schedule, great amount of holidays and vacation time as well as floating holidays. Great training on site

    Cons

Managers that had no outside sales experience, micro managing, horrible compensation for your travels, big corporate changes without regard to employees

    Advice to Management

Find guys that know what they’re doing, a manager with no outside sales experience should not be promoted to manager two months after being and account executive.

    Pros

The independence to get things done and the work life balance are both positives for this company. The CEO has a great vision for the company.

    Cons

Extremely poor sales managers. Training is subpar and no help in training from sales managers, just push to make you hit quota.

    Advice to Management

Require sales manager level to know tasks they expect there staff to do. Training is very poor for a company your size.

    Pros

Ricoh has several departments and a great business model.
Being a global company, you can move with them ,
The company holds a high moral standard.

    Cons

Big corporation. Several hoops and loops to navigate to get to the next step in your career.
Is strongly based in performance. Over all a good company to work for.

    Advice to Management

They should definitely better their benefits program more specifically health care as it is expensive for sure. And your options a quite limited

    Pros

It was a great opportunity to transition into an 8-5 job. As a contractor, it's a good place to get some work experience in a variety of areas.

    Cons

People development and management are an issue. You have to jump up and down and make a lot of noise to be heard if you want to move up and then time/senority limitations will be placed on you regardless of your ability or skill set. Frankly, I didn't have the time to wait around for someone to quit or retire to be promoted the company. Working hard and waiting forever isn't logical to me. Keeping a round managers (or anybody) that are horrible at their job, just because they've been there forever isn't a sign of success.

    Advice to Management

Always take care of your people. Develop those that have the drive to succeed. If they have drive, they won't stick around and wait for you to hand them an opportunity.
