    Pros

The pay is good, they take care of you if you take care of your business. Do your job, do it well and you will be rewarded.

    Cons

There are a few lazy people within the company. "Roaches" if you will, they are there before you, and they will be there after you...and they don't go anywhere. For the most part, you can void the roaches by turning on the lights when you're in there (figuratively speaking of course).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Set more paths for growth...make them LOUD AND CLEAR and your young talented professionals will not leave. Young professionals are not going to work at a company for 15+ years waiting for their manager to retire so that they take their post. Create some intermediate management positions for tranistioning.

I have been working at Ricoh Electronics full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The starting pay is okay, as well as the benefits. Employee contribution to pay for benefits is fair.
There is a lot of overtime!

    Cons

There is a lot of overtime, way too much.! They are not too concerned about safety. If you get hurt, it's your fault. They don't usually act on safety concerns until someone gets hurt. Don't be fooled about it being a Japanese company. We are in Georgia, it's a GOB company. They have ISO 9001 certification, but it's just for show. Same with the 5S/ Kaisan banners they put up.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
  6.

Standard manufacturing environment and practices lends to indifferent feelings.

I have been working at Ricoh Electronics

    Pros

    - Holiday shutdown allows for 2 weeks off in addition to regular vacation.
    - Flexible personal time for salaried employees.
    - Secure environment.
    - Very green company.
    - Decent benefit package plus 401K package.
    - Profit sharing program for most employees.

    Cons

    - Very little internal growth opportunites or promotions.
    - Older and dated infrastructure and equipment.
    - Management inneficiences and long decision making processes.
    - Overly stale environments limits creativity and coworker bonding.
    - Multiple language barriers.
    - No real telecommuting opportunites.
    - Break rooms and areas are substandard and devoid of relaxation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employees need more relevant and updated skills based training. Need to foster additional moral amongst employees. Company decisions should be communicated much better to employees. Invest a bit more in functional and relevant equipment. Company feels very 'cheap' on the inside. Ask for input from employees who actually work on the line.
