Pros – *Hours are great
*Show initiative and there is opp. for growth
*Good benefits
*Stable
Cons – *Pay could be better
*Managers should communicate better with employees the goal of the bank
*Sometimes upper management does not select the best people to run operations
* Management/operation issues with acquisition of City and Surburban could be better addressed
Advice to Senior Management – *Select more competent managers
*Give employees the resources to do their jobs more effectively -- ie. counterfeit machines on teller floor
*It continues to host all events in Queens or LI, and does little or none community outreach or employee events/training in the the Bronx, where they have a significant # of employees.
*Conservatism has paid off in these hard times

Current Employee – been working at Ridgewood Savings Bank
Pros – Great Pay, Great people, great experience
Cons – Hard to move up in the company, unless you live near the queens branches. Being inside the main office is a good way to move up.
Advice to Senior Management – Management is fine
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Pros – -Higher pay than other companies in retail banking
-Holiday bonus
-Flexible hours (especially if you're a student)
-Overall easygoing work environment
Cons – -Senior management is not apt at conveying ideas and what is required to employees
-Inconsistent competence of managers
-Ad-hoc reform/lack of vision of senior management
-Promotions to become a supervisor or manager take a lifetime
Advice to Senior Management – Offer promotions to competent employees, and find a better way to convey new developments regarding rules and regulations to bank employees.
