Great company

In-Room Dining Server (Former Employee)
Charlotte, NC

I worked at Ritz-Carlton full-time for more than a year

ProsWhat I loved about Ritz Carlton was the brand. I can really buy into their culture and the service we strived to provide every day.

ConsWhen new management is hired from outside of the company it seems like they are hiring those people to get a cheaper manager. The issue is that they were also terrible managers.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe executive committees should remember to hire quality candidates for management rather than try to save a few thousand dollars on their salary.

It was a great place to work, great employees, great experiences.

Loss Prevention (Former Employee)
Denver, CO

I worked at Ritz-Carlton full-time for more than 3 years

ProsFree lunch every day, they are strategically very cutting edge and the five star banquets are amazing. From my experience managers are encouraged to be mentors to help employees get to where they want to be. Also left overs from banquets are the best.

ConsYou have to schmooze your way into promotions and it really helps if you receive a 5 star award, if you can get it. Also there is a lot of turn around for line level employees.
