I have been working at Ritz-Carlton part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The pay and benefits and cheap rooms

    Cons

Managers befriending workers. Same as any workplace. Not all are treated the same if your not tight with management. Protocol is the apron management hides behind when there is a clash of personalities. Good employees that dont kiss butt are pushed aside like dirty laundry. Also snooping is prevalent in your private life through social media sites. Thats just wrong. They state one credo for employees but operate by another. As with any other place of employment some places are good to work and others not so good. I am sad that I ended up in one of the bad ones after my transfer. I know that when I give my notice they will want to make things right but so sad to say too late!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to the workers not the chiefs. The faithfull workers are the ones that make the Ritz the Ritz, not the ignorant middle management. Most of them can not recognize a good employee standing right in front of them.

I have been working at Ritz-Carlton full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Team that is excited to work, but no support from management...

    Cons

Absolutely no support from management. I was excited to move up, and take my place in management, but I didn't receive any support at all or help.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take more time with your young employees who want to turn a job into a lifetime opportunity. Benefits might have been great, honestly I had no time off to take advantage of them.
