    Pros

A really good team atmosphere among employees and management together. Everyone gets along incredibly well. All of the employees are just very good-natured people and by no mens does it feel like a "cut-throat" sales setting. Everyone simply helps one another to make sure the job gets done and done right. It's about holding up a good company reputation. That is what brings people in the doors time and time again.

    Cons

You will work weekends but this is where you also will make the most money.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you're doing. The organization in this company is serving it well. I applaud that you understand that we are human and things do come up sometimes. That truly means a lot.

    Pros

Free shoes, IF you attend the clinics.

    Cons

Ridiculous "uniform", No expressiveness, Scripted EVERYTHING. You cannot have a disagreement without having a scripted talk with managers. Interviews are scripted as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let each store express the local culture, Let us wear what we sell at least, stop scripting every conversation.

    Pros

Sweet discount .... that's about it.

    Cons

Gets old fast. Numbers are always changing. The bonus structure is always changing. Extremely scripted and high five oriented. Cheesiness at its ultimate. Good for short time like a couple months but anything longer and avoid. Never know your hours until right before the week begins.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work the sales floor, work with your staff. Be open and available to your staff. Stand up for your staff.

I worked at Road Runner Sports full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Discounts on products is the only pro

    Cons

Poor management- lack of foresight and proper planning, cannot stay on track with timelines and no accountability. CEO micro manages. No promotions or raises. They make you park at an offsite parking garage and either walk or wait for a shuttle to the building. Bonuses get smaller and smaller each year. Benefits are horrible - better off with Obama care. Only 6 paid holidays.

I worked at Road Runner Sports

    Pros

discounts on products, unfortunately that is the only positive that comes from this place, discounts on products

    Cons

poor benefits, poor pay, fake enthusiasm. broken promises and leadership has minimal real business experience as most have started on the phone here. No parking at the facility. Check your brain at the door as they only get ideas from one place. CEO can be a challenge

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to implement what you say versus keeping

I have been working at Road Runner Sports part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    -Pretty good discount
-I liked the people I worked with
    -Easy job, no brainer
-Sneakers and gym clothes all day

    Cons

    -Sales Sales Sales
    -Robotic and impersonal
    -Terrible "lingo"
    -Long hours
    -Corporate

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the R-Lingo. It makes your employees feel small and the customers feel mocked. Pay a little more or change the way you calculate sales goals. This is a mindless job, you are making it harder than it should be.

I have been working at Road Runner Sports part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Nothing was positive for me.

    Cons

people who would not show up for work still got promoted. Those who were on time each day and worked hard were not noticed or promoted. Not sure how they decide who gets promoted. Very unclear expectations. salary was listed online and the actual offer was less.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better management for your runners. A lot of people just don't work. punishing the whole team for a few bad workers is not helpful for morale. in fact, the crappy morale made me hate my job.
