I have been working at Robert Bosch India full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Hardcore embedded work, niche technology, close collaboration with customers. Freedom to do actual design and not just coding.

    Cons

Highly bureaucratic organization, everything requires long drawn out approvals. Use of Outdated tool. Incompatible software development processes, most projects still follow waterfall. Does not allow flexi-hours or work from home.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A single organization wide policy will have issues when you want to apply it to all projects. The same software development procedure and pay scale will not be applicable to all projects in the organization.

I have been working at Robert Bosch India full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Good to start your career
    Free food
    Less work with less salary
its a purely product based company
good for ladies, Lot of facility for ladies
No one care what are you doing
9-6 job no need to stay late.

    Cons

    -Very less salary
-Does not matter how good you are, you won't get promotion before 3.5 years
-Increment happens only 9-12% yearly, if you are good performer only
-Office culture is like govt. office people are working from last 10-15 years and ruling the floor
-competency will go in the dustbin. No new thing from last decade, working on same project from 10-12 years. So what you know does not matter because people are already know that thing from past 5-10 year.
-automotive get preference than any other business unit(Don't be in the fool by joining other unit otherwise you will stuck to that only).
-Work is done by the lower level people and upper level people get only big salary.
-Germany is their mother and father. Do not even go to loo without asking them.
-when you join it is Robert Bosch but when you start working then it will become Bosch India and when you get salary it will become RBEI.(Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Limited).
-If you file a patent you will get only 10k rupees(Not euro). and you have work after the office time if you want to file a patent.(if you are working on the project).
-Onsite after 3 years only, impossible before and
    - onsite only for 3 month( if lucky then max. 6 month). Salary onsite is 1400-1600 euro per month and the salary of German guys are 5k-6k per month at your level. Their servant get more salary than indian IT people. And Don't thing you will save, expenses are more costly than your salary.
    - If you are in meeting and people started talking in southindian language don't be surprise.its general thing here.
    - Don't mess with procedures related thing they are very good in the laws if something is missing in the indian polocy they will show that it is there in the German policy so it will also applicable.
    - work from home is just a dream for person experience less than 4 years.
    - You won't get laptop before 7 year of experience.
    - People leave the company every weekend.
    - HR is just for name they dont care about anyone.no activity. On the name of budget only 2000 rupess per person for extra activity which will be gone in one lunch party in office time only( so you will be having lunch near to your office only) . and sometime outing once in two year(only 10km radius of bangalore) and only entry and lunch will be free there, all other things you have to bare.
    - lots of trainings, but why? don't know.
    - Can't open gmail and yahoo but you can open facebook

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Please take retirement and give the opportunity to the other people also.
    - Start doing some work.
    - Please improve the food quality every day there is mail that in the food some bug, sometime cockroach.
    - If you can't take decision stop blaming the developers for any delay.
    - start questioning the client if you have doubt, dont' say yes always.
-Watch on salary and promotions, else no body will stay longer. only who are not getting jobs in the other companies only those guy will be running your companies.
-what about competency. Is this kind of word exist in the bosch dictionary. Oh i forgot it is german company So their no word like in german. thencare about this word Kompetenz
-Motivate people to work not watch for work in other company.
-Employee is making the companies work , Not the Company is running the employee's (if you still don't believe then check the history of Bosch).
    - Please fix one language for any meeting.
-Try to get some new project.
-Start behaving like a manager not like a shop owner.
-conduct some outing for refreshment of employee
