Not so inspiring, but fun and comfortable.

Research Scientist (Former Employee)
Palo Alto, CA

I worked at Robert Bosch LLC as an intern for less than a year

ProsEmployees were very helpful and positive.
Job expectations were a little low and you did not need to work hard to meet the expectations.
As long as you work for eight hours, they did not care when you come or leave.
The office was spacious and I was given a wide desk as a regular employee.

ConsYou do not have a chance to improve your knowledge much.
Salaries were lower than the industry average in the same region but still can be considered OK.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

- stable, backed by a successful company with billions of revenue
- international environment, lots of intern

Cons- rather slow pace, may due to process for everything
- also, have to deal with lots of intern who are energetic on one hand and chaotic on the other

Hiring freeze and limited opportunity.

Marketing (Current Employee)
Mount Prospect, IL

I have been working at Robert Bosch LLC as an intern for less than a year

ProsAbility to work on good projects where you can make an impact (but that's partially because they're running extremely lean on head count). Good work/life balance. Fun group to work with. Great products available in market. Good brand recognition among target markets.

ConsThe current/continuing hiring freeze, which they denied during the interview process, makes getting projects done very rushed and stressful. Innovation takes too long and sometimes means they are lagging in the market.

Bosch - good company

Senior Engineer (Former Employee)
South Bend, IN

I worked at Robert Bosch LLC full-time for more than 10 years

ProsAs an organization, Bosch believe family comes first; and they take good care of their employees

ConsRetained some poor managers from inherited companies who are not interested in developing good employee relations, and are not very good at modern management principles. Some of the managers are more concerned with maximizing their bonus than with doing what is best for the company and employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't be greedy. Either share the bonus system with everyone, or get rid oif it entirely.

What you put in is what you get out

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Robert Bosch LLC as an intern for less than a year

ProsI had a great time while at Bosch. This company, like most other companies, is what you make of it. If you immerse yourself into the company, then you will succeed.

ConsIt appeared that some of the upper level management didn't always fit the job they were given. Aging work population. Felt like the HQ in Germany wouldn't let US based firm make any independent decisions.
