I worked at Robert Bosch LLC as an intern

    Pros

    - Best team, except the manager
    - Very good cross team interaction
    - Flat hierarchy, Senior director is always approachable

    Cons

    Worst supervisor/Manager
    - His team is a total no no for internship
    - Manager takes advantage of the international student's visa complications
    - Manager does not understand the concept of internship
    - He has no experience of leading people
    - Absolutely zero work ethics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider changing the manager who is not open to accepting mistakes.

I worked at Robert Bosch LLC as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Very good working environment and friendly co-workers.

    Cons

They don't give me plenty of work to keep me busy. I have to find staff to do by myself. Also most of work are not very relative to your major or meaningless, such as picking up packages and cleaning up the table.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I know Bosch has a lot of interns and co-ops, but as I know they are not very busy and fill with enough work. Also they don't usually work on something relates to major. Please have a good plan for each intern, you chose them to work for you but without meaningful job and comprehensive training, you are wasting not only your money but also those co-ops time.

I worked at Robert Bosch LLC full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

When you work at Bosch you get swept up in the feeling, that you are proud of the companies history and their engineering disciplines. Like most other german engineering companies, you will get a chance to work with very skilled and intelligent engineers.

    Cons

The satellite locations are mainly focused on customer support and systems integration work. So if you are looking for core engineering work, you have to be in Germany or India. As for the US, the management is really standard American, so it won't be filled with PhD's, but rather lots of non-technical yes-men.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

US management needs to empower their organizations by pushing to de-centralize the technical development. Global management needs to focus on building a cutting edge IT organization to support the wave connected everything.
