Pros
The managers work hard to make sure that a position will be a good fit for you and the client. Other employees are pleasant to work with. Pay rates are very competitive.
Cons
When I was shifted from one division to another inside Robert Half (e.g. OfficeTeam to Accountemps), this was not always communicated clearly. I did not receive detailed feedback as to how satisfied a client was with my work. Communication between staffing managers and clients could be improved. Turnover for staffing managers is high.
Advice to Senior Management
Try harder to minimize staffing manager turnover. Improve commuication between employees, staffing managers, and clients.
Pros
Opportunities for advancement. Decent training. Good support. Equal opportunity.
Cons
Less flexibility. Prfessional dress attire. Lots of rules and systems that are cumbersome.
Pros
Flexibility - ability to take time off between projects
Cons
Few benefits - no health insurance benefits
Pros
Being a temp employee, you learn various duties and it helps you make you a more diverse and educated employee. It is helpful to use that knowledge in other jobs.
Cons
Location, It would be nice to be placed in closer location to where you live. Some assignments are too far to go to.
Advice to Senior Management
Nothing that I can think of. It is pretty good. Keep giving tips and feedback to employees so we can know what to do better.
Pros
Opportunity for great pay, if you perform.
Nice people.
Chance to meet interesting clients.
Cons
Felt like sweatshop.
Small cubicles for work environment, difficult to concentrate.
Relentless focus on activity metrics, seemingly on hourly basis.
Almost purely transactional in nature
Pros
can make a very good amount of money
gives you a chance to make a lot of good connections in your area
Cons
10.5+ hour days
too many layers of management
they give you no ramp up time
there is a very lacking training program that doesnt give you a chance to learn before you start building your business
the senior management has NO clue what goes on daily
the mark ups are high and prevent people from working with you
the mark ups for the different divisions are anywhere from 70% -150% there is no need to have a 70% mark up on someone who is going to answer phones and file paperwork!
high turnover
selling managers = competing against your boss
Advice to Senior Management
sit on the floor and listen to what is going on daily. you have to give people a chance to be successful and it takes more than a couple months
Pros
One of the best companies in the buisness with excellent technology and well thought out processes. The size, scope and history of the company are helpful in making sales.
Cons
Can be a bit too detail oriented. Because of the size and complexity, the company is not always able to adjust quickly to the marketplace, and it does not vary enough from marketplace to marketplace
Pros
opportunities for challenging work and career advancement are plentiful. I really enjoy my coworkers and they help to create a fun environment to work in.
Cons
Often times the pay increases do not conincide with the increasing level of work and promotions. The benefits package is not competitive and the 401k program only matches a portion of your contributions.
Advice to Senior Management
You must start to truly treat people as your most valuable asset and invest in their development and compensation.
Pros
A great place to work. People are focused and on their game. Very good team building and playing amongst teams.
Cons
As with any large enterprise corporation, there are many layers of approval and accountability. Not a place where decisions are made quickly.
Advice to Senior Management
No advice. RHI knows what they are doing and while not as nimble as some would like, "slow and steady" wins the race.
Pros
The company tends to have a lot of contact with major companies.
Cons
Recruiters are too "busy" to help people and shuffle you off and heaven forbid a client gives you a job offer, you can expect no help on anything from RHI/RHT. Infact they will tell you they don't negotiate (they already got their money they don't care anymore.)
Advice to Senior Management
Pay attention to your workers, we are the reason you're in those nice offices. Without us, you'd be doing real work and making an honest days pay!
