    Pros

Its great exposure to full-rotation recruiting and sales. Excellent training program with a very reputable company. Perfect stepping stone to take you to the next level of your career.

    Cons

can be a lot to take in at first, very deadline driven. Can be stressful at times being it involves a lot of multi-tasking. Expect a lot out of you and can be overwhelming.

    Advice to Management

continue to train and hand-hold the new employees. Very good training program and great company structure.

    Pros

People are great, flexible hours and you do very little overtime.

    Cons

Working on contract means low pay and no benefits. No PTO, no real full time employment or advancement ever happens per full-time employees.

    Advice to Management

    Reward talent.

I have been working at Robert Half as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Quick job placement, offers some decent opportunities.

    Cons

Markup on your time are as high as 50%. It pays to bargain with them or register with another agency to bargain from position of strength. They will low-ball offers when they can.

I worked at Robert Half full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company prides themselves in being debt free. Lunch and work events monthly. Food trucks / Farmer's market walking distance.

    Cons

Company makes it extremely difficult to move up, pay is very low.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with value rather than making them feel like they can be replaced easily.

I worked at Robert Half full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Younger, vibrant culture with a "work hard, play hard" mentality Can make a lot of money Big brand name to work with

    Cons

Zero work-life balance, unless you don't care about making money Only challenges in my opinion were the daily BS Growth opportunities are incredibly limited and once you have "mastered" the job, it is difficult to find other things that you can learn or even higher ups to learn from. They don't pay their admin staff market rates even though they issue a salary guide and these admins have to deal with aggressive sales people with utmost urgency, so they should be making more.

    Advice to Management

Take more time to develop your all-stars and keep them challenged and happy. The retention and turnover is ridiculous and the cost savings they could experience would be significant. Most people are spread too thin and good managers come off looking like they don't have time for anything or anyone but themselves as they are all still in production as well. People are usually left feeling like they are treading water and the individuals who are bringing in big money aren't recognized because management doesn't have time to do it. Note to all sales organizations: sales people are typically either money motivated, motivated by recognition, or they simply like the hunt/kill, so create an environment where they can thrive, not want to run away from.

I worked at Robert Half full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Being the first staffing agency to ever exist----and that's not necessarily a Pro. Processes are still from 1948...

    Cons

Everything. Where does one even begin? The lack of paper towels and coffee provided in the kitchen? The multiple lines of business for both perm and contract fighting over the same job reqs and candidates? The commission breakdown of 'coordinator', 'recruiter', and 'sales' credit? The hundreds of horrendous 'marketing' voicemails they leave clients every single day? The outdated processes, systems, management? Robert Half would be the last agency to call when filling a job req.

    Advice to Management

I worked at another staffing agency before this and anything is better than Robert Half. The commission isn't there. The talent isn't there (internally or being placed). I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to work here.
