Former Employee - Machine Operator in Sheboygan, WI

I worked at Rockline Industries full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I was taught how to run my machine and when I was done training I was left to do my job.

    Cons

Promotions were done unfairly, It was more of who you knew or were related to, when jobs were posted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fix the time off issues between the regular 8 hour shift and the 12 hour shifts, it is not fare that the 12 hour shifters have to take 1 1/2 days vacation for 1 day and 8 hour shifts of course only needs to use 1 day.

    Pros

Rockline Industries has some of the friendliest workers I have encountered. From day 1, you are treated like someone who has been there for decades.

Rockline has a knack for making each employee feel that their work matters and contributes to the company's success through rewards and other recognition.

    Cons

Sheboygan, WI is not the perfect city. However, there is enough to do and see if one tries.

    I worked at Rockline Industries

    Pros

Rockline is great at giving any training that is available to make you better at your job. Pay is good for management. Promotion are for those that work at Sheboygan WI.

    Cons

Promotion are for those in Sheboygen. As well as is, the better support and equipment. Upper management is very chummy with those in Sheboygen. You will find that they track your activity to point that you think you are being followed. Rockline does not handle bad news very well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There alot of good people at Rockline, But not all are in Sheboygan. Opportunity to grow should be extented to all plants.

I have been working at Rockline Industries

    Pros

    Small personable company
President is assessable, friendly and approachable
Most managers truly want to see others succeed
    Safety and quality focused
    Live the meaning of integrity
Stable company - lots of growth in the business

    Cons

Pay raises for salary folks are non-existent - while the floor associates are given regular adjustments.
Some managers, because it is such a small company, resort to back stabbing others to make themselves look better.
Benefit package is among the worst I have ever seen.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't forget about your salary workforce and their needs for compensation

Former Employee - Machine Operator in Sheboygan, WI

    I worked at Rockline Industries

    Pros

Guaranteed Hours. Not a bad work schedule if you dont have a family. Other workers in your same position are generally friendly.

    Cons

No chance for advancement. There were hopes of getting better pay after you complete certain training prerequisites. It seemed that the list for each level just kept growing though and it would be forever before a raise would be given.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become more in contact with your employees. There are good people on the floor looking for advancement. Realize that the people are who keep the company running.
