I have been working at Rockline Industries full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working at Rockline has been a pretty unique experience. They are rapidly growing, so there's constantly opportunities to move forward with your own ideas. People at all levels within the company are very approachable and easy to get along with.

    Cons

Communication between departments can be challenging, but that has been improving. People can also be a bit too polite, which makes getting true feedback difficult at times.

    Advice to Management

Keep communications open about company plans. Hearing about what new projects are on the horizon through the grapevine isn't the best.

I worked at Rockline Industries full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I was taught how to run my machine and when I was done training I was left to do my job.

    Cons

Promotions were done unfairly, It was more of who you knew or were related to, when jobs were posted.

    Advice to Management

Fix the time off issues between the regular 8 hour shift and the 12 hour shifts, it is not fare that the 12 hour shifters have to take 1 1/2 days vacation for 1 day and 8 hour shifts of course only needs to use 1 day.

  3. Company that is managed with high level of integrity

    Pros

Fair in most decisions Flexible with work time (within reason) Safe working environment

    Cons

Limited opportunity for personal growth and development Some managers have mgmt styles that are very difficult to deal with and have very different opinions about how to continue to evolve the culture of the organization.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be change agents and reinforce mgmt team to listen to employees. Support time to nurture relationships and build team mgmt skill sets. An empowered workforce keeps a company strong and successful.

    Pros

Small personable company President is assessable, friendly and approachable Most managers truly want to see others succeed Safety and quality focused Live the meaning of integrity Stable company - lots of growth in the business

    Cons

Pay raises for salary folks are non-existent - while the floor associates are given regular adjustments. Some managers, because it is such a small company, resort to back stabbing others to make themselves look better. Benefit package is among the worst I have ever seen.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget about your salary workforce and their needs for compensation

  6. Not the greatest.

    Pros

Guaranteed Hours. Not a bad work schedule if you dont have a family. Other workers in your same position are generally friendly.

    Cons

No chance for advancement. There were hopes of getting better pay after you complete certain training prerequisites. It seemed that the list for each level just kept growing though and it would be forever before a raise would be given.

    Advice to Management

Become more in contact with your employees. There are good people on the floor looking for advancement. Realize that the people are who keep the company running.
