I worked at Rockwell Collins full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great pay and benifits.

    Cons

Enjoy your first day on the Job. Your popularity will be on the decline every day after. The yearly paperwork you fill out to get a raise can count against you but will not do much for you. Watch your back.

    Advice to Management

After 29 years of service nothing ever changed.

I worked at Rockwell Collins (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, Coops get paid vacation days. Flexible work hours. High percentage of Coops get hired in the future. Living arrangements for Coops are figured out and paid for by Rockwell.

    Cons

Upper management focuses too much on reaching quantifiable goals which can lead to an oversight in quality of work. Big company means slow moving and there can be a lot of red tape to go through to get things done.

I have been working at Rockwell Collins full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great company to work for that is quickly catching up to speed on the technology happening around the world from an employee perspective. From what we deliver as a company we have cutting edge technology!!!

    Cons

Benefits are horrible and they used to be the best around. Pay is no longer a premium either and is nominal with other companies as well

    Advice to Management

Create a better package for employees or they will start to leave. People aren't going to remain tied to one company forever.

Next time there needs t belayoffs, let some chiefs go instead of always laying off the Indians.

I worked at Rockwell Collins full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There was a real sense of team work at the site, and the division was like working at a smaller company that had the resources of a larger one.

    Cons

There weren't an awful lot of oppotunities to obtain additional training to expand your technical knowledge base.
