    Cons

they deserve zero cons. this job is what it is, a entry level job and it will not support you comfortable but if you are in college or need a part time job this is the place to be.

    Advice to Management

keep doing what you are doing!

I worked at Rogan's Shoes part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

30% off of items in store, easy work, flexible hours, off on holidays

    Cons

Unprofessional management, don't give raises often, send you home early if not needed

    Advice to Management

Could make sure everyone does an equal share of work

I have been working at Rogan's Shoes part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a family owned business. The employees are very nice. It's great for people that can work well alone and in groups. There is always promotions to make extra cash.

    Cons

Have to keep a cool head when working with tough customers. Shoe boxes give paper cuts. You might have to pick up others slack sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up, but my only want for change is to update the stores outside and inside their looking pretty dated.

    Implement yearly raises!

I worked at Rogan's Shoes part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Willing to work with your schedule, easy tasks.

    Cons

I never felt like I was satisfying management even though I would ask questions and try to make improvements. Management was bad at communicating and training. Company did not value worker's time or abilities. Worked there for over a year and a half, took on responsibility and was never late and never got a single raise.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees, don't make it a boy's world, and quit taking advantage of part time employee's.

I worked at Rogan's Shoes part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very great work - life balance for part time/ students. Great people to work with. Contests make the job very fun. If you do well you can become a manager within a year or two.

    Cons

The men seem to have more demanding tasks given to them.

    Advice to Management

Update technology. Having such outdated systems and equipment can make a day very frustrating. A decent computer for a kiosk would cost what you pay two people in a day. Very great company to work for though, owners are very down to earth and easy to talk to.

    Pros

I worked here while in college and it was and easy going company with friendly people running it

    Cons

Got extremely boring on non busy days and you have to stand on your feet all day.

  9. Not very difficult job, but overall Rogan's is a very strong employee-value-based environment.

I have been working at Rogan's Shoes part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Laid-back atmosphere (apart from busy times) Great people to work with (particularly the managers) Very understanding management Promotional incentives for selling (not pushed as a quota)

    Cons

Long days Customers can be irrational At times, employees can be difficult, as it is a younger employee median avg Certain jobs may not be as "glorious" as others. Ie. taking out the trash, cleaning bathrooms, etc.

    Advice to Management

Overall, the store's efficiency is based on how the managers are going to treat the employees, and respond to adversity, but also how the employees treat the customers, and their efficacy towards the job. Which all tend to be relatively high from what I have seen, though it may be different from store to store. *I have worked at two of them.
