return the company back to the family.

Cons
old school, quantity versus quality, lack of opportunity, minimalism approach these days
Advice to Senior Management
focus on a few things at a time versus everything all the time
Pros
Great environment, well located, huge opportunities to learn about various aspects of the industry
Cons
corporation - less personalized. Not as much direct contact with senior management.
Pros
Not a bad place to work. Opportunity for development. Good environment with great colleagues. Good benefits and perks with discounts.
Cons
Little communication between managers and upper management. Sometimes frustrating to get new ideas across. Management seems like they are in a glass bubble.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your staff more. Encourage bottom-up information flow. Offer better discounts to employees. Listen to your staff more. Listen to your staff more. Listen to your staff more.
Pros
good benefits, good year end bonus plan, ability to move internally laterally and horizontally, up to date computers and resources to work with.
Cons
little job security regardless of loyalty/years with company. ongoing "restructures" every year or two cause tension as significant numbers (typically middle and upper management) are let go. power struggles at the executive levels and interdepartmental politics drive the restructuring as much as economics.
Advice to Senior Management
do not lead personnel to believe they are safe in their job when this is not the case - better to say nothing.
Pros
Benefits and compensation is excellent
Cons
career growth, no plan to move employees up
Pros
- Reputation of the company
- Get to know new technology depending on which department you work
- Rogers perks
Cons
- Some are managers because they work with Rogers for long time but lack competency
- Too much competition within employees to go up
- Work is too monotonous sometime as you keep on doing yr after yr after yr
Pros
An organization where you can gain some excellent entry level work experience. Great place for new graduates to start their career and get some opportunity to do challenging work.
Cons
Alot of corporate politics. I mean you will deal with work drama in any corporate environment but the politics at Rogers can affect your opportunity for career advancement.
Advice to Senior Management
Management needs to get better at promoting employees based on merit and work accomplished not who they favour or has the longest tenure.
Pros
Top end brand - Working with the best.
Cons
Inconsistant internal communication throughout company.
Advice to Senior Management
Internal communication consistancy
Pros
- Health/Dental Benefits
- 50% Discount on Rogers products
- Well known brand name
- Great for entry level work
Cons
- Office politics
- No work/life balance at all
- Work is very monotone
- Little to no growth opportunities
- Stats or customer satisfaction?
Advice to Senior Management
We were told that customer satisfaction has always been #1 but, stats seem to be much more important. What good does brushing customers off the phone do in the long run? to meet your personal stats? It's alot easier to lose a customer than it is to gain one and, management does not realize this at all.
Also there's people who've been here for 3, 5, or even 10 years and still on the floor. People are trapped and have nowhere else to go. Also it takes about 5 years to finally get A weekend (not both weekend days) and not work holidays.
If you have no social life, a family or a significant other, then this is the perfect place for you to work!
