Pros
-Good benefits
-50% off all Rogers Services, Blue Jays, etc.
-Free Parking
Cons
-Not flexible for when it comes to scheduling
-Zero balance of social and work life
-Management favour certain employees and just doesn't care about the rest.
-Stats, stats, stats... it's always about stats. What ever happend to good customer service?
Advice to Senior Management
-Be more flexible to your staff, you gotta give some to get some if you want to keep them motivated.
-Gear more towards providing the customer service that customers deserve and not focus on either sales or trying to get them off the phone. Customers pay good money for their service. Let's give them what they deserve.
Pros
on site Gym, other amenities. Cooperative work place.
Cons
Total compentation needs improvement. more benefits and better employee discounts.
Pros
Progressive company implementing the latest in wireless communications. Product base is competitive
Cons
It is a sales oriented company, great for numbers but service can suffer
Pros
Defined pension plan, benefits, discounts. Business casual atmosphere.
Cons
Much like other organizations, your positive or negative experience at Rogers depends a great deal on your immediate supervisor and the senior management of your department. It seems the competent and capable eventually find employment elsewhere and the people left behind, who take over their positions, are not necessarily qualified.
Pros
Benefits are good and varied
Well-known Canadian organization
Variety of services - possible career opportunities
Good internal communication resources (though not much time to read them)
Cons
The better you do, they more you will be overworked.
Work/ life balance barely exists
Silo structure still exists despite trying to change
Too much work with little resources at times to execute
Numbers over people
Pros
1) HUGE opportunity for growth. provided you display intelligence, strong work ethic and are willing to upgrade your skills through continuing education.
2) The benefits and employee discounts are great!
3) Workplace is very diverse, and now strays away from the "boys club" and shirt+tie approach.
Cons
1) Salary gaps are too wide!! You can be a "coordinator" making anywhere from 33k or 50k - It's a shady system that's solely based on negotiation skills, and an advantage of being an external candidate.
2) The Performance review process is outdated, and needs to be completely overhauled. The 1-4 rating system is just too small.
3) Way too many unnecessary projects/initiatives. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. Be realistic.
Advice to Senior Management
It's great to see consistent messaging on Rogers Today from the whole leadership team! However alot of the company objectives are far too generic with a "one-size-fits-all" approach. For example: "This year, our focus is drive sales will promoting good customer service" <- WELL DUH!
Pros
Smart, dedicated employees who are ambitious.
Cons
Silos. Management is very male dominant.
Pros
50% discount on products
Good Share Plan
Good Health Plan
Good Retriement Plan
Cons
very slow growth
salary structure poor
Advice to Senior Management
think about your staff who work hard and pay them more.
Pros
Great work life balance, above avg compensation and benefits
Cons
tough place to make both money and advance your career- but you have the option to pick one or the other. Overall better than other options in the industry by far.
Advice to Senior Management
FFOT while fun to talk about isn't a career path for those not in the family
Pros
diverse workforce and great employees
Cons
lower wage and benefits then other telecommunication companies for similar positions
Advice to Senior Management
competitive wages and compeititve benefit
