I have been working at Roosevelt Paper

    Pros

    Great opportunity to make Money!
Company takes care of you very well...Great Benefits!
Management wants you to succeed and will help you do so.
I wanted to take the next step in my sales career and Roosevelt has helped me do so.

    Cons

Really nothing that stands out as a con. They will keep you very busy, but as a sales rep busy means making money.

    I worked at Roosevelt Paper

    Pros

Zero pros if you work in the ky office. The nj office is run much better

    Cons

Management in ky is terrible. Most of the inside sales reps hated their jobs and complained daily.

I worked at Roosevelt Paper full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I sat and tried to think of anything, and was stumped for a full day. The inside sales people are supportive and helpful, but scared of management and completely unempowered. I guess its better than being homeless, but not much.

    Cons

Upper management could care less about the well being of its employees. No personal development, training is a joke run by an embittered, yet wealthy, managemet caste, and the owner is too involved in other issues to really care about strategic development of the sales group. I can sum it up simply....3-4 sales people who stick around because they have no other options, and another group that is desparately trying to find another gig. Won't be long before these guys are just a small regional player at best......

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Retire already! It is no longer the 1950's, no matter how badly you wish it were.....

    I worked at Roosevelt Paper

    Pros

    It's a job.
You get paid, but not nearly what you deserve.
Lots of product to sell, even though the quality is terrable.

    Cons

    Long hours.
    Excess reporting of daily activities.
    Suspicious / Paranoid Division leaders.
    Micromanage employees (when not necessary).
    Leadership constantly contradicts themselves.
    Unfair yearly evaluations.
    They take advantage of employess.
    Ridiculous amount of travel.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees. Sales Reps, Inside Sales and others all have valuable insight that in completely shot down and not encouraged to be discussed. The owner should bring the hammer down on the high level executives who cause more problems than opportunities.
