Current Employee – been working at Rose Institute
Pros – Competitive pay, do real-world work as an undergraduate, redistricting website is the premier site in the country and you can work on it as a freshman.
Cons – First research assignment (Kosmont Cost of Doing Business Survey) is boring, must work on slow, old computers, few people to work with.
Advice to Senior Management – Leadership, in general, is very solid. The senior staff could be more visible but the student managers are obviously capable.

Former Employee – worked at Rose Institute full-time for less than a year
Pros – Flexible hours; knowledgeable senior staff; intellectual but results-oriented environment; After three months of work, I thought i was relatively well versed in firm procedures.
Cons – Work can sometimes be monotonous; getting stuck on a bad project can be painful. Though most of the assignments are cool and interesting, some are downright painful.
Advice to Senior Management – Communication is king. Tell your staff what you want.
