I worked at Ross IES part-time for less than a year

    Pros

It was part of the welfare to work program and we helped people to get jobs and the readiness and willingness to work very enjoyable.

    Cons

Some people didn't want to work and it was difficult when we had to tell there supervisors that the were a no show and they got sanctioned we just wanted to help.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I don't really think I have to give advice we all worked great together. We lost the contract through Department of Social Services we all got laid off.

I have been working at Ross IES full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Helping those in the community to get to a better place in life. Good co-workers and quality training. Nice office environment in that staff pitch in to help each other out when needed. Caring management team that is honest and committed. Overall a very good place to work if you enjoy helping people. Happy to be here and I'm never bored. I have worked with other agencies and can say that Ross is the best one I have worked for.

    Cons

Subject to governmental funding cuts. Even if staff do a great job, funds could be cut by governmental agencies and that is out of everyone's control. Trying to keep our participants motivated and moving forward can be challenging but it's worth it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep promoting from within the company. We know that you are committed to helping all of us succeed.

I have been working at Ross IES full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Training is good when we do it but I don't feel that the type or frequency is quite sufficient.

    Cons

Does not seem to be much movement upwardly after 3 years of association.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make it a place where moving up a ladder is possible.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Ross IES

    Pros

The company does give you the experience to deal with all walks of life both inside and outside of the company. If you are a people-oriented type of person, this is a great company to work for.

    Cons

There seems to be a lot of nepitism going on within the company. Ross does not seem to be a very stable company, so don't plan on retiring from this company. There is no structure within the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more loyal to your employees!!!
