    Pros

    To be around new cars

    Cons

You are thrown into operating new vehicles with literally a few minutes to familiarize yourself with it's operation, before going out in a caravan of a few other drivers. Not enough breaks, considering the safety element of driving for 8 hours straight. Not enough paid time to complete written evaluations the way they really want them. Most drivers just go through the motions and check off things so they can go home after being exhausted. Considering the fame of the Rousch company name, I was very disappointed in the lack of professionalism in the job and environment.

    Advice to Management

Give more breaks, spruce up the employee gathering area and restroom. Give an introduction to the vehicle before sending someone off in it. Wouldn't that make sense, especially from a safety standpoint? Allow more time on the road to write down your notes and collect your thoughts, so you don't have to do it during your personal breaks and mealtime. Those times should be for your own R&R to get refreshed for safety purposes.

    Pros

A relaxed atmosphere. Nobody breathing down your neck every second of the day. Get your job done and call it a day. Overtime isn't a constant but can sometimes be more than plentiful.

    Cons

Middle management is too far removed for day to day actions. Some employees take advantage of this to the extreme. Their fellow employees are forced to pick up the slack and when it is time for a pay raise, everyone gets an equal share of the pie.

    Advice to Management

Middle managers should come out of their offices for more than the things that are going to effect them.

    Pros

The pros to this company are they offer benefits and they are large company that seems to want to promote with in.

    Cons

The vacation time is awful and they do not offer a certain number of sick days, it is on an as needed basis and no one is eligible for it during the first year of employment.

    Advice to Management

I would revise the paid time off as well as sick days policy. Give more and don't make employees gain it throughout the year.

    Pros

Never micromanaged their employees, was able to manage my own tasks.

    Cons

The pay was poor, and overtime inconsistent.

    Advice to Management

Increase pay to compete with others in the industry. It'll allow you to keep good employees.

    Great people to work with
    Good medical benefits, ok dental
    Lots of independence

    Cons

Salaries tend to be below industry standards
Too little vacation time, only 2 weeks to start and 5 years before you get an extra week
    No flex time
Not a lot of advance planning on initiatives

    Advice to Management

Review vacation and salary policies to attract and retain good employees

    Pros

Great benefits. Great starting pay. Overtime can usually be had if you ask for it. Reasonably flexible scheduling. Good stepping stone to move on to other places in the future if that is your plan.

    Cons

Little room for advancement in the company. Review process and getting a raise is a little troublesome. Contract employees such as myself and others seems to be happy which is dependent on which company you are contracted to I'm sure. I've heard some nightmares about working down in Livonia directly for Roush.

    Advice to Management

Keep better communications with contract managers at outside facilities to expedite review processes and make sure the valuable employees aren't lost to higher pay elsewhere. Work on more incentives and keeping the valuable people around longer. In my experience turn around seems very high for the most part.

    Pros

Interesting work, work with lots of highly skilled individuals.

    Cons

Occasional long/unexpected hours, but that is the nature of the industry.

    Advice to Management

Provide a clearer path for advancement and focus on developing individuals.

    Pros

coworkers were nice at Roush but management WAS NOT and PDS DEFINITELY WAS NOT

    Cons

Was a mechanic at Roush, working environments was terrible, people got paid more than me even though we were doing the exact same job. After working for a year I figured Id earned a raise, but Roush told me to ask PDS, and when I did PDS told me to ask Roush and nobody told me anything. I got transferred all the time between Allen Park, Livonia, Taylor, and I had no choice in the matter. Worked way too much overtime. Called PDS to complain and they said they'd look into it but I never heard back. I had 4 different recruiters in all my time at PDS, nobody seemed to be able to help me with anything. Benefits were awful, I was better off getting them on my own online. PDS was never helpful when I needed them, and Roush didn't help either. STAY AWAY FROM PDS AND STAY AWAY FROM ROUSH!!!!!

    Advice to Management

let new employees know what they are really in for instead of lying to them.
