    Pros

    Was treated to breakfast and lunches often in house. Tim Hortons coffee and doughnuts a staple. Cotton Candy given out. Candied Apples. Sweets etc. What are we like 5 years old? They thought so.

    Cons

    Nepotism.
    Very Political
    Issues with salary payments.
    Lots of Work Sabotage.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't put your own daughter to work above others as a manager right out of college when others have been there a lot longer.

    Good vacation, great challenging atmosphere to work with, get to meet the most important people in the banking industry in Canada

    Cons

    Not flexible in terms of work hours, very difficult to move up in the company. More valued outside the company than inside.

    Professional atmosphere, If you're willing to pay for your own marketing supplies they offer professional looking materials... You can write off your expenses, which is good...you'll have a bunch!

    Cons

    No clearly defined territory pitting all the Mortgage Specialists against one another
    No lines drawn in the sand as far as Realtor Market
    Credit adjudication is big brother
    No budget for marketing, everything is out of pocket for the specialist
    Having to pay for my own business cards? really
    Branch thinking you make more money then they do.

    Take a look at a mortgage Broker model when considering your comp plan.

    Work with talented people, get meeting exposure with managers and upper management, given lots of various tasks to complete

    Cons

    Sometimes the task were very menial, I felt like it got somewhat routine working there on a daily basis. Although I enjoyed what I was doing, it could have been more complex work

    The REESOP - Stock sharing plan, company paid benefits, paid vacations, competitive salary, great bonus structure, great BCP plans, good brand name, and overall a very successful company to work for!

    Cons

    Structure wise it seems that seniority is far more important than the actual wits and smarts of certain individuals

    Build more on your employees and make them want to be there working for you! See potential and allow those with it to flourish!
