The Hospital has been a blessing. Their educational assistance program is awesome!

I have been working at Rush Foundation Hospital full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Total Autonomy within your profession, great bosses, and flexibility of settings in which to practice. Rush provides a great structured environment with an awesome Rehabilitation Department.

    Cons

You may have to work at multiple sites. There are hardly any raises or bonuses. No real ladder for promotion. Meridian, MS has a high crime rate at this point.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There should be equal compensation for awards that are won and revenue generation. The rehab department makes a ton of money for this hospital, but the therapist don't ever see a raise.

I worked at Rush Foundation Hospital full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The hiring process was easy, they provided a great orientation to the facility, the therapy staff was amazing to work with; everyone helped each other and made the work day go by smooth. This was by far the best experience I have had at a job thus far! I would highly recommend Rush Foundation Hospital to anyone in the Meridian area!

    Cons

I thought Rush Foundation Hospital was a great facility and had no complaints. The senior management staff treated you as an equal, and the co-workers in both rehab and nursing were wonderful to work with.

I have been working at Rush Foundation Hospital full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Student Loan Repayment is the best thing that happened with my post graduate studies. They have been committed to make my work life as comfortable as possible

    Cons

Driving Distance/ commute to work is a bit much due to the poor housing market in the rural communities. Gas prices and wear on your vehicle will play a part in working for this company if you do not live in the city. Meridian also have a high crime rate
