I worked at Rusty Eck Ford full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You will work with some awesome people there at Rusty. I absolutely loved the staff. It is fun, laid back without pressure. (unless you’re a salesman). The company probably won’t pay well when you first start but if you show potential and do a great job, speaking to the right manager can get you a raise or even a better position. They were pretty flexible about my schedule since I was a college student. I just cannot express how much I loved working with everyone at Rusty Eck, they really do have an exceptional staff.

    Cons

First and foremost, the number one con is the top management. It honestly sucks bad. Including the owner Les Eck himself. He is an arrogant guy who will not take the time to meet you and will just want you to park his truck and wash it for him without a thanks. Absolutely hate this guy and I hate he is the one that owns all this empire when someone else could own it and do a much better job and treat employees much better. Another con are the hours. They are open 7 days of the week and pretty much all day. Once again, depending on department you are working, hours can vary but expect to work weekends no matter what department you work in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don’t hate your life. Seems like everyone upstairs (upper management) hate their life and want to kill anyone who asks for help. Put a smile on and be happy. You’re choosing to work here, be content and help people out. Don’t put/look down on people. Everyone is just trying to make a living, and be open to new ideas!

I worked at Rusty Eck Ford

    Pros

Rusty Eck will give you all the rope in the world to hang yourself with. If you enjoy a job where hitting a target involves only input on how not to hit it, than this is the place for you.

    Cons

-Nothing (including your hiring contract) is put into writing.
-There are no performance reviews or doccumentation. You never know where you stand
-Atmosphere is driven by the mood of the department managers. They'll chat you up one day and have you cowering in the corner "literally" the next.
-Would rather take the approach that its easier to promise the world to their customers and apologize when things go wrong than to just fix the reasons why they went wrong.
    -Problems with nepotism
-overall work product is left wanting

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to take a hard look at who you have running your company.
