    Pros

Good bonus if you assigned on a good team. Flexible hours.

    Cons

If you do not assigned to a good senior, you are on your own to learn and explore the way to get work done.

    Advice to Management

    Need better training

I have been working at Ryan, LLC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive salary for entry-level job. Small regional office but very accommodating for desired work hours with the MyRyan program.

    Cons

MyRyan program truly depends on the mentality of your manager/director. Although in theory, setting your own hours and working from home is encouraged, it truly falls onto the expectations of your manager and the office environment he/she is trying to create.

    Pros

There is a ton of flexibility with hours and working from home. Bonuses can be sizable with successful teams.

    Cons

There isn't a lot of cooperation between teams. Another possible downside is that the overwhelming majority employees are conservative. It isn't really a pro or a con, but it is worth noting.

    Advice to Management

While having teams compete for business leads to some extremely successful teams, more collaboration might make the company more productive overall.

I worked at Ryan, LLC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are on a team that has the support or is managed by the more tenured leadership, this can be a great company with many great experiences for a young professional.

    Cons

As the company has grown, it has become difficult to move up, and politics plays a big role in upper management. Many of the large accounts are managed by partners that have been at the firm for a long time, and get paid a significant amount of money based upon the work of others, and very little of their own effort.

  6. Great company across all departments and philosophies, with a medium-above average application of it's MyRyan program.

I have been working at Ryan, LLC as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

MyRyan is a reality for lots of employees, and there really is a meritorious environment. Lots of employee benefits, great PTO offerings.

    Cons

Bonuses, and whether one advances or not is based solely on luck of the draw/who one knows. If you get stuck on a team in an industry such as retail, your bonuses will be lower than that of those in Defense Contractors or Oil and Gas. But it's worth the risk. Also lack of Administrative assistants means Associate Consultants, as well as Consultants must do extremely menial tasks for weeks on end.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget people on the lower level who drive your company, and remember to communicate on their level, despite the companies lofty future goals.

I have been working at Ryan, LLC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great workplace flexibility. Office culture is easy going and coworkers are very hard working. Great incentives to work harder; performance based bonuses. Nice location.

    Cons

When I first started it was very hard to balance several projects at a time. There are many moving parts to the process, so you are required to sharpen your attention where it is most needed.

    Pros

Brint Ryan really believes in his company and growth.

    Cons

If you do not have a degree, you will not get promoted even with the experience

    Advice to Management

Be open to experience rather than a degree.

    Pros

Potential to earn significant bonuses based upon your position and the service line within which you work. The myRyan program was a big plus, especially for individuals trying to balance work and family responsibilities.

    Cons

Bonus potential depends heavily on the service line and the industry/clients that you are assigned to.

    Pros

Great bonus structure and cultivates entrepreneurial spirit.

    Cons

Can experience the silo effect and can dampen creativity with burdensome policies.

    Advice to Management

Increase base pay, allow flexibility across practice areas and militate against silos.

    Pros

Ryan strives to keep their best talent by offering bonuses, outstanding flexibility and dedicated management.

    Cons

We pay for casual Friday, but it goes to charity so it's not too much of a con.
