    I have been working at Ryder System full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    4 x 10 hr days. (three days off)

    Cons

    13.75 to start and no raises for a year and when you do get a raise it's .50! Really??? Yes...have fun.

    Advice to Management

    Pay more, offer incentive for quality not just production. Damaged product on the floor makes everybody's job harder!

    I have been working at Ryder System full-time

    Pros

    working at this job is easy money for making dellivery to foodsco,they work with your schedule so if you have little kids and one car then more than likely they will do everything to help you out.

    Cons

    the dispatchers have a personality that makes it difficult to work with at times,they will try to work you even with you don't have enough hours on your 14 hour rule,will make up whatever they want to get you to run a load out even call you on your day of by the way when you say no you don't want to work on your day of they will call several times with different ppl maybe they think ill say something different.

    I worked at Ryder System full-time

    Pros

    No one standing over me. I was on my own to do my job as I pleased. I made my schedule to an extent.

    Cons

    I has an emotionally unstable supervisor which affected my peers as well as myself.

    Advice to Management

    Please take a look at 1st level managers with personal issues. An unstable supervisor is a ticking timebomb.

    Good money, home time daily.

    Cons

    Everything is hand freight,slow delivery times usually takes up to 2 hours for one delivery, we don't have proper equipment for delivers,

    Advice to Management

    Support your employees, give them what they need for a good days work and in return you won't have such a large turnover.

    Very convoluted management structure which slows the organization down significantly.

    Advice to Management

    Scan your environments for opportunities. If you don't keep looking for ways to add value or make improvements you will get board quickly.

    Pros

    Comfortable relaxed environment and tons of training.

    Cons

    Commissions are terrible $15 per truck. Vehicle sales manager make the commission even if they don't sale the equipment.

    Advice to Management

    Create an incentive program for VSRs.
