    Pros

lots of opportunities to connect with different community organizations

    education background not extremely important

    Cons

    contract based on government funding
    lack of diversity
    very regimented structure
org. too big for CEO to manage
    no staff community/ belonging environment
    seniority

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is a serious imbalance/ gap between CEO and employees. Please take the time to care for the employees to make sure they feel appreciated and that they belong. Sometimes it seems like CEO and rest of management team care more about their own advancement and "face" rather than their employees and clients. Serious lack of training to new staff. It is very hierarchical and there is a lack of pride of their job, and it reflects in the company Christmas party. As fundraisers, perhaps be more innovative rather than bringing Chinese stars in to perform, make adverts in different languages.. hence leading to outside organizations thinking that the organization soley serves the Chinese community. Also, make sure management team knows their HR Manual and employment rights.
