Dog and Pony Show for Directv

    Bundles Agent (Former Employee)
    Cleveland, OH

    ProsNice people - Nice Bonuses

Conspoor management, lack of leadership - anything to take your bonus away - Very Strict when dealing with Directv - Directv is main client so anything they say goes no matter how much SP DATA likes you as an employee they will try to hide you by switching your employee ID however when they find your still there you WILL be removed from the campaign and moved to either Comcast or Direct energy (neither as good paying as DTV)

False advertisement, steal employee bonus, hours, no benefits, poor leadership, poor coaching/training, no promotion.

    Telesales Agent (Current Employee)
    Cleveland, OH

ProsIf you want to just have a fun job, a job where there is no integrity and no actual expectations or ethics....it is super sad that this pace hires people expecting integrity and then end up requesting you actually compromise it.
This is for people with no moral values, no ethics, no responsibilities either....young/single/immature/unethical folks.

ConsIs by seniority, you must bid for hours but your bid is not even considered, they make sure you do not bonus...hit you on your call quality or find any other excuse t make sure you cannot bonus.

Advice to Senior ManagementThis location needs a whole new team...from the bottom up, consider actually hiring Honest people with integrity. The people in charge now will lie to customers to sell only to make $5.00 bonus for every sale.
THERE IS NO INTEGRITY IN HERE...IT IS PREACHED, NOT WALKED-FROM THE TOP DOWN TO THE BOTTOM...
ONLY TRASHY/ LYING/ SNITCHES/ RUDE/SELFISH/BROWN NOSING FOLKS MAKE IT IN HERE AND GET PROMOTED

A thesis in underpaying for productivity and punishing those who care.

    Call Center Representative (Former Employee)
    Cleveland, OH

ProsIf you are young and don't mind playing with the edges of ethical boundaries, it's a place to get an easy to do job without an education.

ConsAll entry level employees are temp to hire. Once they actually make you an employee, the very young, uneducated phone sales staff tends to be most excited about getting free DirecTv service. They change bonusing criteria to ensure they pay as little as possible. They give you the stats that are mandatory to move on from training, then when no one is able to meet all of the goals, they cut three or four people from the training class based on manipulating the outcomes, personalities, and prior relationships. They will cut off their hand to spite their face by getting rid of the best people, so they won't have employees questioning their unethical behavior.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet serious about second and third tier managers. Pull in some outside blood instead of having a call center staff so homogeneous that 80% are from the same neighborhood. Do not allow, under any circumstances, the continuation of creating a hostile work environment for LGBT employees, and their families and friends. Take charge of making sure your middle managers are not going to lose your biggest clients by keeping cheap but subpar sales people while getting rid of the best people for having ethics and defying bigotry.

ProsYou get paid to sit in a chair and rob people.

    ConsI don't like robbing people.

The Incentive to succeed is to sell consumers products that they clearly will not benefit from. I was Constantly persuaded to push products that are not in the consumers best interest.

If you have a conscience.........do not apply

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    ProsNice atmosphere...great people family environment

ConsIf you are not gay or a black woman, you are not going to get far in this company. Pay sucks, you will never see full time hours you work. Don't look at the women they will instantly fire you, finally don't ask for more pay they will fire you

    JOB NOT CAREER!

Phone sales- sell insurance to credit card holders

    Outbound Sales (Former Employee)
    Cleveland, OH

Prosclean working environment; nice co- workers- we all needed our jobs. Given good incentives at times- food and gas for car cards.

    ConsCOLD sales; automatic dialer's; 7 hrs a day on phone; loose voice; let go if not meeting sales goals each week; call people repeatedly w no control over calls; irritate people hang up; cheaters were rewarded; not caught for months. employees leave in droves;

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more fair to your staff; they trained hard and worked hard for you. GET MORE RECENT numbers for credit card customers. Stop firing staff if you know they are doing their best. Have managers be more encouraging to those who fall behind.

Okay Job - with NO benefits

    Sales Representative (Current Employee)
    Cleveland, OH

ProsBonus structure is great. If you are able to hit the sales quota, you can receive 825 dollars every two weeks on top of your 80 hour two week pay.

ConsYou'll never get a raise. You'll never get 80 hours even though you worked 80 hours in two weeks. They pay by production hours on he phone. Not the time you clock in, so your paycheck will always be 5 hours short every two weeks. You only get paid 10 dollars an hour.

Advice to Senior ManagementConsidering giving the employees a raise and some health benefits. Also, you should consider promoting within the company instead of outside.
