Pros
really nice work atmosphere, competent people, great benefit package, company transparency, great possibilities for career development, continuous feedback from senior scientists, etc.
Cons
Unless you are working in the management or sales department most Süd-Chemie sites are at a fairly long commuting distance from the closest big city.
Advice to Senior Management
Due to the relatively long commuting distances it would be very useful if employes where granted permission to work home say once or twice a week.
Pros
Very good working environment and highly skilled expertises. The company is well known to has high reputation from chemical, perochemical and refinery industries.
Cons
The compensation does not meet the average value of similar industreis.
Pros
The compensation package is pretty good. The base pay is below national average, but we receive a bonus depending on how the business does. It's been good so far. They are also generous with PTO.
Cons
The commute. Belen is a pretty remote city. The majority of the management team lives in Albuquerque. I believe the average commute time is around 50 minutes. Not bad for bigger cities, but it's a commute for New Mexico.
Advice to Senior Management
Implement telecommuting even for just one day a week. It would raise employee morale and result in higher job satisfaction.
