    I worked at SAIC full-time

    Pros

much opportunity if you are willing to relocate, great 401k match, talented coworkers

    Cons

offices can feel the silo effect - even though the company is huge, the units don't interact with each other

    Pros

The company took over a contract so I didn't go through the regular review/interview process. Everyone I have worked with inside of SAIC has been great. They are a big company with opportunities everywhere.

    Cons

The yearly review process is sort of rubber stamped. It would help if the middle managers knew a little more about what their employees do on a contract.

    Advice to Management

More visibility and awareness of what each contractor is doing would go a long way.

I worked at SAIC full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I worked at SAIC for 8 years. The atmosphere was very friendly, and I had excellent co-workers. The office I worked in was very spacious and well-equipped. The project I worked on was very team-oriented. SAIC offered an excellent benefits plan, and the compensation was very good.

    Cons

I wished there had been more opportunities for advanced training, but that may have been a budget issue due to contract funding. Limited opportunities for promotion.

    Advice to Management

When writing proposals for contracts, try to include more support for training.

I have been working at SAIC (More than 10 years)

    Pros

My leadership has always valued my contribution and compensated me fairly for my work output and managerial success. I'm given a lot of autonomy to run the program I manage, which has contributed greatly to our team's success.

    Cons

Once the company split into SAIC and Leidos, the cost pressures have been extremely noticeable. Less bodies to do as much or more work. Less focus on employee morale and more on the bottom line.

    Advice to Management

Corporate leadership needs to focus more on key people development and providing ongoing leadership training opportunities to all managers.

    Pros

Great opportunity to learn and get involved in some exciting programs.

Improve the benefits for the hourly and better address work life balance for senior engineering and management.

    I worked at SAIC full-time

    Pros

I liked the people I worked with. They are very professional and friendly. I also like the physical working environment.

    Cons

Some of the company-assisted higher education program, e.g., Master degree, are not made available to all. The rating system during performance review is not communicated well to all employees.

    Advice to Management

I 'd like to see more training offered to employees who are driven to learn new skills. I'd like to see more transparency on how performance review and rating of employees were conducted.
