I have been working at SAIC full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great people. Great benefits. They try to provide job security in a tough, contract-based atmosphere.

    Cons

Sometimes the tradeoff between job security and reduced compensation/reduced hours. But I think that is more about our current federal government needing to reduce costs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you do. Taking care of the people at client sites is what gives SAIC an edge over other contractors.

I worked at SAIC full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of good people working on meaningful projects that matter on a global scale. Good work / life balance for the most part

    Cons

The company seems to be more concerned with their shareholders than their employees since going public. They say they value their employees but all they care about is the bottom line.

I worked at SAIC as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Friendly employees and decent pay. Great intern retreat in D.C. Hands on experience and sponsored security clearance. Learned alot about the company and the type of work they do. Unless your placed in D.C or Maryland you wont have alot of other interns in the area.

    Cons

A lot of down time. High security.

I have been working at SAIC

    Pros

Dedication to ethical behavior in the work place and with our customers
Commitment to excellence in execution and providing the customer more than expected
    Fair compensation
Good internal communications up and down

    Cons

SAIC is a large company with lots of internal divisions and sub divisions making it difficult to stay internally connected - our challenge is to be ONE SAIC and we have to work at it every day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remain focused on making a difference for the Nation and you will keep SAIC on the right track. I am pleased that our priorities begin with the safety and success of our warfighters and our citizens.
