Family oriented culture
Cons

Management - not as many women
Advice to Senior Management
Provide more management opportunities for women.
Pros
Decent place to work. Compensation is good. Work/life balance is excellent. Lots of promotion from within.
Cons
Communication is terrible. Very much an account executive driven organization. Still selling technology solutions and not business drivers. Line of business products are still average.
Pros
Software company. Opportunities to learn & grow
Cons
Dead wood who will retire & will never get fired as they have figured to work the system. Corporate politics.
Advice to Senior Management
Churn the sernior management more often. Too many parties at senior management & leadership level leading to inefficiency & politics.
Pros
Great knowledge sharing and support between employees and management. It is a good team atmosphere where your peers will help out as much as possible.
Cons
Not a great place to achieve career advancemen within you currently role. Typically, employees have to leave SAP and get rehired to make any significant advances.
Advice to Senior Management
There is too much overhead in upper management and not enough "worker bees". Also, the pay structure is lacking competitive real substance.
Pros
Work Life Balance, Telecommuting, Job Growth, Exceptional Training Available. Overall SAP America, Inc. has been the best company I've worked for.
Cons
If you're not in Sales or Development you sometimes feel there is not much room for advancement and or recognition.
Advice to Senior Management
Although your schedules are very busy, take some time out to help mentor those who are aiming to move higher up within the company. Help to develop qualified talent from within.
Pros
Work life balance is good.
Cons
Do not expect much growth.
Advice to Senior Management
Need to be more transparent.
Pros
SAP has good compensation and benefits. They also have hired folks with high level of professional knowledge. There is a high degree of integrity and honesty in sales and marketing.
Cons
There is a lot of disconnect between the different acquired business units. The salesperson is expected to be on the road 4 days a week.
Pros
Proud and passionate workforce, great ethics
Cons
Politics
Managers are managing up only
No careers outside management positions
Advice to Senior Management
Too many managers
Create opportunities outside management positions
Talent wasted by moving experts into managment positions as the only way to advance in a career

Work is demanding and sometimes need to work on the weekends too
