    Pros

SAP offers many learning opportunities through a very large project and product portfolio, some of them being really cutting edge. A huge number of functional areas are covered. Good benefits and equity programs.

    Cons

Unfortunately, even if internal mobility is officially encouraged, it's proven difficult to find a new assignment. Many top-down decisions. High degree of bureaucracy. Tends to reinvent the wheel.

    Advice to Management

Learn from the base. Be more open-minded. Adopt some of the industry practices and standards rather than systematically building proprietary approaches or implementations.

    Pros

SAP offers a good work-life balance, challenging work as well as an amazing approach to the IT industry

    Cons

SAP needs to work more on HR and on people development. SAP is a very good company if you are a self and quick-learner.

    Advice to Management

Broaden HR training plans and allow people to get trained on other area than their own work

    Pros

Good benefits - Very interesting products - Well structured internal systems - senior and smart coworkers

    Cons

management by fear, random downsizing - poor career evolution resulting in a mercenary company

    Advice to Management

start considering internal promotion rather than external hiring when looking for a manager. I've never seen ONE first line manager coming from internal promotion.

    Pros

Relatively flexible schedules & homeworking possibilities, average compensation.
Job security (at least in Europe), although this may change in the forthcoming months.

    Cons

A lot of internal politics which impact promotions, career progress, constant re-organizations, etc.
SAP has been on strong budget cuts for at least 3 years which affects bonuses, possibilities to get training (in relevant topics), hiring, travel.
Constant reorganizations that impact teams & projects and are done regardless of skills, individual (or team) performance. Constantly shutting down and restarting new projects has a strong negative impact on career and skill development.
    Management is incompetent.
Working at SAP is not recommended at all.

    Pros

    Advice to Management

Il serait bon de bien prendre en considération les avis et opinions des salariés.
