Pros

- Pamper employees to a great extent
- Has won the best companies to work for twice in a row
Cons
- Management takes time to get numbers in the system , hiring very little
Advice to Senior Management
Employees need to be given more managerial exposure
Pros
Fun and lots of autonomy
Cons
Need more focus in what management wants to achieve
Pros
If you live in Cary, NC. It is great. A university type atmosphere. Great Benefits. If you have good installed accts you will always make your number.
Cons
Management does not have much experience other than what they have learned through watching others fail at SAS and doing similar. So much pressure to do things that impact the relationship of customers, it is not a great environment. So worried about themselves, no one cares about customer.
If you want an inside sales focused job as an field account executive go to SAS. If you have experience and are looking for a place to hide, go to SAS. If you want to make money, look someplace else. You will not learn anything you cannot read in a Sales 101 book like "the little red book of selling."
Advice to Senior Management
Hire others that have managed at other companies to gain some perspective on how to motivate and drive performance.
Pros
You can maintain work life balance in SAS RnD.
Communication from the top management i.e. CEO, Directors, etc. are good
Good infrastructure
Cons
Slightly laid back work culture...
The Salary you get into the organization plays a crucial role. The better you bargain the higher is your entry package. As you are not likely to get good hikes in subsequent years unless there is band change which is very very difficult.
Advice to Senior Management
I think the top management is doing good in terms of communication to the grassroot levels.
Pros
Great People to work with. The people here are very smart and seem to enjoy working here. In addition, there is always work to be done so there's no boring idle time.
Cons
The work can be stressful. Since there is always work to be done, it can pile up quickly so you must work fast.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep your lines of communication open. Let everyone know what the next move is and don't try to hide information.
Pros
Great work environment. The recent cut backs in seat capacity and employees have created tension though. Flight benefits are great. However, temps can only fly on SAS operated flights which limits the range of trips.
Cons
The senior management is completely invisible. Even at a time of crisis it has been very limited how much information was shared. We would get written statements or brochures that looked to primarily have investors as the target group.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior management in Sweden should definitely show up in Copenhagen more often and be more visible in general. It does not work to only state in the internal newspaper that visible leadership is happening in Stockholm, when no C-level people show up in Copenhagen
