I have been working at SEB AB part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent place to be engaged, lots of room to grow and improve your surroundings. With drive you can get a lot of experience in a short amount of time.

    Cons

Highly political organisation in middle management, which sometimes make execution and decision making fairly difficult.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Engage more directly with the lines in contact with customers, cut out excessive middle management. Capitalize more on talent that passes through "student work" and part timer's, no clear long-term planning nor foresight.

    Pros

You're encouraged to take courses, and otherwise grow in your role. The culture allows for people to make the best of themselves.

    Cons

I have been working at SEB AB full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Skilled professionals, nice peers. People help each other. A lot of loyalty to the customers and the customers' needs. People show a lot of drive and commitment.

    Cons

SEB is a scared organisation. There is no mutual respect from senior management. No honest cred to hard working staff. Great variation in leadership skills. HR comes across as very biased in favor for the employer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the window-dressing for every financial report and understand to build friendly relations inside the bank and show that you put trust in your employees. True respect for people will transfer to the clients and build profit even more.
