    Pros

    Potential for six figure income

    Cons

SED is one of the smaller fish in a very large competitive pond, they've also blundered potentially strategic advantages and let them become liabilities.

I worked at SED International full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Centrally located in the heart of Doral, a commercial area and one of the main hubs of international trade.

    Cons

They are countless... violations of HR's starndard practices, INCONSISTENCY is their most consistent value, poor organizational culture, absence of strategic planning, poor management knowledge, low educational level of middle management, no focus on service improvement or customer satisfaction...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice is to the board of directors ,who have invested their money in SED. Hire educated people that display passion and a competitive spirit. Focus on employees and customers' satisfaction. Create a strong organizational culture where collaboration, respect and a strong sense of belonging are paramount of their daily activities.

I worked at SED International full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I can't think of any really, the pressure and the unreasonable goals and expectations...management sees through rose-colored glasses.

    Cons

Poor management of people and finances have caused this publicly traded company to tank. They laid off 80% of their workforce last year and closed down several distribution centers. They ended up hiring some of those people back later on in the hopes of rebuilding, but in this industry, if your reputation stinks, the chances for recovery are slim. Do your homework before applying here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at SED International full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

They have pretty good benefits, including an in-house health room. They cleaned house of most of the upper management and restructured the company from top to bottom. There is now more opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

Prior to the restructuring there was very little advancement or raises. Upper management received bonuses and promotions as opposed to sharing the love with the minions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Until they have some history under the new management, I really don't have any further advice.
