    Pros

    Great work environment
    Friendly QA Team
Lots of talented and great people

    Cons

    Pay too low
    Mediocre perks
    QA were temps
    Career Opportunities were non existant

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees, marketing and prepare for the mobile future by making the experience seamless.

Among other things give the community what they want, great games from Japan and the willingness to take chances on new IP's whether they are on platform or mobile.

    Pros

Great entry into the video game industry and a good résumé building entry from a recognizable brand name.

    Cons

Terrible hours (6-3 or 3-11), soul-crushing monotony, scattershot competency in team leads, and just generally an unpleasant work environment.

    Advice to Management

Have people regularly shift projects to avoid monotony and over-familiarity (a bad thing when big testing), invest in more vid capture devices, and brighten up the workspace.

    Pros

Took some chances on new and original IP. Had a good thing going, squandered many potential original IP franchises.

    Cons

Insular culture. Very risk averse. Somewhat rudderless when it comes to overall SKU plan and company vision.

    Pros

The only Pro of working here was all the other great people you work with (That generally all quit after less than a year)

    Cons

Horrible working hours - (You will be put on an early shift or a late shift) You could change to another shift if management like you though, I put a request in to change shifts and didnt get a response for 6 months, during that time several other testers switched shifts before me.
Obvious bias for management favourites - There was a group of testers that were allowed to choose their own working hours, where the rest of the test team were not, despite all having the exact same job title & role.
Low Pay - 6.50 an hour for Functionality tester, 7.50 for Senior Functionality tester is an absolute joke.
Zero-Hour Contract - No commitment to their staff, planning at least 3 months in advance is something that SEGA must already be doing, but they are still not willing to commit even a month of work to their testers, the entire team was told during lunch time that there would be no more work for us in the forseeable future and that we should not come in the next working day, they said they would call us when they needed us.

    Advice to Management

Treat your staff like human beings, invest in them and commit to them and the quality of work from them will greatly improve as they will repay the care you are giving them.

    Pros

They'll hire pretty much anyone, so play well your cards and this is a stepping stone into the industry.

    Cons

    Salaries are below market average.

Solid lack of planning that forces products to be rushed, this has the double negative effect of releasing an incomplete product and pushing heavy hours into the actual work-force (QA), which for the poor scheduling is forced into constant overtime.

Lack of career opportunities. More often then not they hire people from outside and don't offer opportunities for current employees to step up.

    Advice to Management

Pay nuts and you get monkeys.

Give recognition to the people, raising salaries to industry standards will help people retention and you wont change half your staff every other year.

Look better into your producers' work and see how they deal with the overall project and resource pooling, maybe plan longer testing periods, would cost less to have the team working a couple of weeks more than forcing them into a month of constant overtime, and without much pressure you would have a better result.
