Systems not focused on accomplishing necessary milestones at the desk level.

    Advice to Management

Invest in a new user-friendly operating system and abandon RED

    Cons

To strict of an eviorment, make 1 mistake if you. Work In the warehouse and they will fire you. Management takes their job way to seriously they don't know how to joke around or have any fun.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and relax and enjoy life..

    Pros

Seko Worldwide in Denver is an amazing place to work. We are a small locally owned company with a team of individuals that are like family. The 3 owners are considerate and compassionate to the employees and their families. I honestly couldn't ask for a better work environment or better employers. Everyday is a new and different experience. It's never boring.

    Cons

We are a franchise of a large worldwide company. While the company is strong and very supportive of it's stations, sometimes you run into different personalities and cultures that you are unaccustomed to. Honestly, that can be a pro too. It's a learning experience on a daily basis.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work. You have formed a team we can all be proud of.

    Pros

Allowed to be very flexible when making decisions that pertain to the international product.

    Cons

Its mainly a domestics organization however the growth in international has been very good

    Advice to Management

Keep working on the international product and services to offer clients

    Pros

Great coworkers. They go nin the trenches with you to solve problems.

    Cons

Management loves to see bickering, infighting, and backstabbing.

Mgmt also loves to complain about projects not being fully completed but they do nothing to change it.

    Advice to Management

The only way to change the culture is to change yourselves. Otherwise the things you seek will never be realised.

    Pros

Seko Worldwide Logistics is a class A organization full of great and experiencedprofessionals always willing to go to whatever steps necessary to satisfy their customers. Corporate leadership is outstanding.

    Cons

Unfortunately the Denver office is a franchise office owned by three individuals since October of 2013 who are in way over their heads. Nice enough people but no sense of what ownership implies. Operationally, staff has been dropping like flies. The staff that remains are competent professionals that are stretched way to thin on the domestic side and are unable to service their customers adequately.

If you being courted by the DEN office,
Save yourself a lot of professional grief and wait for an ownership change.

    Advice to Management

    Find something new to do.

    Pros

Challenging work and good learning experiences (what to do and what not to do)

    Cons

Inappropriate relations between executive levels and their subordinates; those who do less work and are less deserving are the most likely to be praised and respected; poor salary base / bonus / annual increases; (just to name a few)

    Advice to Management

Work on changing the culture; Reward and praise those who produce tangible results; speak directly to your employees face to face with conflicts, not behind their backsides or in written forums in an attempt to embarrass them.

    Pros

Fair salary, nice offices, good location. Can be a really great place to work, but it depends on the department. If you have a personal recommendation from someone I say go for it. There are a lot of great people here, and it's a good place to learn the logistics business.

    Cons

Terrible time off calculation for new employees. Ask lots of questions and/or negotiate outside the norm or you could end up working nearly a year with no time off.

Largest caveat: Unless you are interesting in working in an environment where you will be belittled, berated, and broken down by an executive with the personality of a box of corn flakes? Stay away from anything to do with accounting/finance.

    Advice to Management

Listen to complaints/concerns, and act on them independently.

    Pros

SEKO Corporate is on the constant lookout for technological advances and ways to improve its technology systems

    Cons

SEKO is a franchise where some stations are very poorly managed by ill-fated or tactless owners/managers/directors.

    Advice to Management

Ask for more surveys from operations people in different stations. Often times, great ideas do not flow up the proper channels to the correct person in order to effect positive change.
