Former Employee – worked at SFR as an intern for more than a year
Pros – Big firm with interesting budgets for innovation projects (not true anymore in 2013). I was in a fantastic open innovation team, worked on pioneer projects and felt a very friendly and supportive atmosphere in the team.
Cons – Very poor management at C executive levels, always remainingin their Ivory Tower and incapable of long term vision. The company, very big, is made of silos that do not collaborate in general, which is a pity in a company with such talent. Innovations created by teams almost never make it to the public stage. Too much turnover in middle management and the company clearly abuses of short term contracts.
Advice to Senior Management – Establish a clear vision, dare, empower your teams, innovate. Stop behaving like kings on their throne, you are way too far from steve jobs for this. If you do not react quick, big troubles are ahead.

Current Employee – been working at SFR full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Very interesting lots of evolution possible with motivation
Cons – Management inconsistancy with no Human ressource
Focused on shareholder, employee not view as a asset...
Advice to Senior Management – Short term management, untill directors/managers known they are here for a short term, they manage short term without strategy / lon term vision

Former Employee – worked at SFR as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – SFR has a great corporate culture, and as a Junior, I learnt a lot in very different fields : management, telecommunications, technology... I worked as part of two different teams in which I had a very interesting experience. SFR also offers good compensations ("Intéressement et particpation", bonuses...)
Cons – Difficulties to adapt to the changing environment in the market may destroy the great working atmosphere and the job opportunities at SFR

Current Employee – been working at SFR

Former Employee – worked at SFR
Pros – The technical projects are very interesting. In land and air network core system, back-office system, intranet, internet sectors.
It is possible to work on very complex projects, with more than fifteen, and maybe twenty, different skill sectors (sales, marketing, coordination, other project managers, technical support, software and hardware experts, solution providers, web agency ...)
And the very competitive business sector need an high reactivity.
Cons – The political relations are too important : You must know the right person to get one thing you need !
Work is too divided between many people in a project. It is almost impossible to promise a "Time To Market" to your Manager !
And when you want to switch to another job in the company, you just can get one in the same skill.
Advice to Senior Management – Please, open your mind !
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
