I have been working at SHARP part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    They have a good culture

    Cons

They pay less than other healthcare corporations in San Diego. They don't utilize CNAs appropriately which leads to RN burnout as the RN ends up doing all the ADLs.

    I worked at SHARP

    Pros

Hours, Commissions and Some good workers

    Cons

Sales department won't train, go thru people every couple months. Feels like Corporate Sharp is restructuring and SBS will be depleted by year end. They are cutting all their top brass and cuts in sales salaries has occured as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Magic doesn't happen overnight. When you cut the face of the representative of your customer you begin to lose face with your clientele and competition that has lower turnover in the sales force takes away large portions of your market share. GODD LUCK Regaining the millions per month lost in the past 2 years!

  9.

Nice people, but over-strong influence from parent company.

    I worked at SHARP full-time

    Pros

Friendly working environment, knowledgeable co-workers, supportive HR. Perks included gym membership, free coffee and being within walking distance of Bracknell town centre (some might consider that a 'con'!).

    Cons

Projects were almost all assigned from parent company in Japan, and there was little opportunity to influence designs. Latterly, such projects were hard to come by, so there wasn't much to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Strictly applying Japanese working culture does not engender 'good will' from employees; flexibility does.

I have been working at SHARP full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great Work Culture.... Mutual respect for each and every one in the organization... Highly dynamic, energetic and team spirited young organization...... High growth potential....

    Cons

Sharp Brand equity still low in the region..... Need true sales and marketing skills to survive as marketing funds are limited and game is on people relationships, in short you cannot grow sales by "buying sales using Marketing funds" like some big Korean brands.....
