    Pros

Quarterly bonus program adds incentive to meet or exceed quarterly numbers.

    Cons

In manufacturing and distribution, lots of low paid lifers with little to no formal training in mfg operations, resulting in missed deadlines and delayed shipments. Too many are there to just collect a paycheck. No real accountability when things go wrong, which is often.

    Advice to Management

Sharing knowledge is essential, proper training is crucial. Offer both and then get rid of the deadwood.

    Pros

Expectations are clear. When your at the company you know exactly what needs to be done. People are great to work with when called upon

    Cons

Its a manufacturing mentality. Lots of clock watching employees. That is just the nature of mixing hourly workers with salary workers. The culture is to spend minimum 40hours before going home. Regardless if you finish work early or made up for it at home or next day.

    Advice to Management

Be more flexible and get more up to date with other hi-tech company if you want to hire the best. Your retention rate will be better and the work produce by your employee will be of higher quality.

    Pros

A great Supply Chain Director. Small company environment and family atmosphere. SMART is a service oriented company with no direct competitors. Good relationship with Cisco's memory procurement management. Good benefits and stock options. Bonuses provided quarterly and performance based.

    Cons

Better salary compensation required. More positive feedback on a job well done when people jump through hoops for the company. Better team collaboration required. More job growth opportunities required to keep good employees.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your people. They are your best and most important investment.
