I have been working at SNC-Lavalin full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Decent pay, good benefits, easy bus route
Cons – Dysfunctional, too many doing the same things (duplication), no continuity, lack of support, training, direction. No assistance whatsoever from Management, HR, Union. Fragmented. High work load, high stress, quality of work irrelevant. Processes don't work. Favouritism. Talking the talk, but not walking the walk.
Advice to Senior Management – Learn who works for you and how to make them successful employees. Treat them as humans, not numbers.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at SNC-Lavalin
Pros – The compensation is good. They are a large company with opportunities around the world.
Cons – They dont give you a feeling of security. When the job is over you are cut loose and they begin the process of finding personel for the next job from scratch. This seems to waste time.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't let your talent slip away at the end of the project. A dedicated team should be working on placement. Locally and abroad. Leting you know what projects are coming up and giving current employees with a proven track record the inside track on the next project.
