I worked at SOC full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, pay, and location for family life. The work place provides you the opportunity to study for college. It is up to the individual to take hold of this benefit. Also the pay is very suitable for providing for family life.

    Cons

Management difficulties and long hours in one place. Housing prices in the Los Alamos area very high. Commuting maybe necessary.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better attention to formatted procedures and follow those procedures.

I have been working at SOC

    Pros

The best reason to work for SOC is the chance to support an important mission of the United States.
There are many opportunities to make a difference.

    Cons

The biggest issue at SOC is a lack of management.
In addition, there is no communication and management has shown a failure to learn from past mistakes.

I worked at SOC full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

the company had hard working, smart personnel working for it

    Cons

the hard working smart personnel are not in leadership positions and corporate doesn't seem to have any personnel like this, the State department runs everything for SOC because corporate is scared to say anything to them.
instead of using money to keep the personnel that bend over backwards and help the company out, the corporate officers, cut pay, cut bonuses etc. corporate has excuses for everything and blames everyone else, they take no responsibility.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
