    Pros

Training was very good and was able to start running the machine the following day. Union and company perks are good.

    Cons

Ran roller machine and packaging machine on opposite days which kept jobs from getting too monotonous. Very well done.

I worked at SOS Employment Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great local people. Old management did well.

    Cons

New owners don't believe employees outside of Indiana have anything to offer. The two company cultures are dramatically different and there is no willingness to find the best of both. It's simply do what Indiana says or find a new job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

SOS had some great employees before the new owners started tearing it apart.

I worked at SOS Employment Group full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

It is a great company to work for. There are a lot of people that are willing to help out when needed. what true team work is.

    Cons

Sometimes it was hard to be the only person in the office when the phones were ringing off the hook and you had people coming in and out of the office.

I worked at SOS Employment Group full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I learned a lot about how not to conduct business and to do my research on any company I went to work for if I were to ever go to a staffing agency again.

    Cons

I don't know if the staffing managers or outside sales people check out the companies they place people at. I was hired permanently at one company and promised it was an up and coming, well run company. FALSE. In the three months I was there they "reorganized" four times. Next, they encouraged me to leave that job for another client who was paying very well. The place was a nightmare. My boss was verbally abusive and just a horrible human being.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people who actually check out the businesses they place their employees, rather than bounce them around if the the company pays more (so they can get a bigger bonus)

I worked at SOS Employment Group full-time

    Pros

The font that they use to print your name on paychecks is nice.

    Cons

In terms of looking for work and being placed, this place is atrocious. I don't even know who runs the place. The placement "analysts" sit on their computers playing games with each other and are themselves, not skilled professionals. As such, they have no business determining the disposition of individuals' careers.

I have applied for a number of positions for which I am qualified. I never hear back, emails go unanswered, phone calls are not returned, going in physically to the office the reps act as if they've never seen you or your name before. The only work I am ever offered is one-day assignments for a bag of dirt. Analysts are catty and unprofessional when making inquiries, manager is always "out-of-the-office".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire qualified placement analysts. Your current staff in Springville, Orem, and American Fork are incredibly unprofessional and seem confused about what their role is.
