    Pros

Pay was good for a college student needing a paycheck.

    Cons

Mindless work super boring and dull. Supervisor drank regularly on the job. Careless upper manager / owner. No training except a video to get your security card, when a situation arises you have no idea what you are and are not allowed to do.

    Advice to Management

Care, listen and do job checks.

    Pros

Accounts were awarded to this lowest bidding company keeping the bills in check. Offered decent health insurance and 401K

    Cons

Terrible management at all levels and O.T was the only means for survival. I got the impression that long as a warm body filled the post, everything else was irrelevant.

    Advice to Management

Treat the Officers with more than a Subway gift certificate as a reward for good service.

    Pros

Hours not bad. Supervisor is great to work with.

    Cons

Training is not to good, most co workers, don't want you to know to much. Afraid of their job security. Some play on phone all thru the shift. Lazy don't want to even keep the time log up to date. Riser doors stay locked if a fire should break out we only have 1 set of keys. These people here don't even know what a riser room is. Security that is. All get the same pay, not wanting for anyone to advance in the company. No leader only supervisor. He's great to much on him. The people that works here are all pretty nice. Going on 3 years working here.

    Advice to Management

Job is great, supervisor should do more on the job training or have a key trainer. Need more pay for time on job.

    Pros

Jobs very easy, anyone could do it, plenty oh hours,

    Cons

Poorly managed, it's possible you'll end up working up to 16 -20 hours a day, forced to work no matter how dangerous the weather, the managers did not seem to care about the employees, just that there is a body at the designated site. Tough job to maintain if college student.

    Advice to Management

Hire more qualified people, organize things better, and treat employees like people not objects.

    Pros

Hours if you willing to travel at your own expense and spend money on licenses that will not be reimbursed by the company. Money can be above average for a regular guard spot, but it depends on the contract and your boss. This is good if you need a job to keep yourself from starving as it is something and it is better than working in fast food.

    Cons

Have to watch paycheck really close as they will tell you one rate for a job and pay you another. Been shorted on OT more than once because of 'accounting' errors from the head office. Front line managers do not help with this as they have no control. Area managers will lie to you to get you to do what they need done. Worked every holiday one year, I told my boss that I could not work a certain holiday, he keep on hounding me to do it because he had no one else. Finally caved so he would stop bothering me. Paycheck was not right in the end, but got worked out after a few weeks. The bi weekly pay dates do not help with this.

    Advice to Management

See how your area managers are treating your employees. Immature attitudes by managers and supervisors are causing your employees to have a negative attitude about the company when it is all due to the fact that some people want to mess with people just because they have a little power.
