Pros
*Good work/life balance
*Good benefits: 401(k) matching at 50% of contributions (up to 8%); 3 tiers of medical plan; 9 paid holidays/yr; stock options; good leave accrual rates with max up to 240 hours (rolls over annually)
*Friendly work environment
*Decent compensation
Cons
*Hard to advance past current contract/position
*Doesn't foster a lot of long-term growth if you work at a customer site
*Using the intranet career website to try and find new opportunities within the company oftentimes ends up being an exercise in futility (ie: if you don't fall into very specific coding categories the computer will kick your resume back and say you're not qualified before anyone even looks at your application)
Advice to Senior Management
Have a better system set up to foster growth amongst employees who like the company but who have outgrown their current position and would like to try something new or move on to something that will help them advance their career.
Pros
Excellent company culture, friendly co-workers. Managers are great at communicating and very understanding and willing to work with you to help you balance your personal and work life.
Cons
The company is based on contracts, which is risky.

alot of people in the company for a long time and it is very old school

Pros
The best reason to work for SRA is the experience with different technologies. You will wear many hats in SRA and get alot of experience in doing so
Cons
SRA is not very good at compensation, there are no merit based raises, or bonuses. Also It is not very good at adapting to a changing landscape and diversifying
Advice to Senior Management
Employees like to be appreciated. Don't alienate those on projects in favor of those working at the corporate level. there are gems to be found there

Pros
NONE! Oh wait..they gave me a job, and all my medical bills.
Cons
Short and sweet and this is only directed towards 98% of the company screwballs.
+ RECRUITERS = DON'T TRUST THEM! Hire a lawyer to review your Offer Letter (Think of a used car salesman)
+ HR = Mouthpieces for management....DON'T TRUST THEM!
Management = FOR GODS SAKE...DON'T TRUST THEM!!!! (of course, this only applies to 98% of them)
Pay= hahahhahahahahha, please...stop me...hahhahahhhahaha
If you choose to take a job with SRA...Get EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and more importantly, hire a lawyer to read the fine print. Or better yet, go to work for Wal Mart, you will be happier.
Advice to Senior Management
No use..they won't listen. They only listen to the gossipers who have something personal to gain and that goes with the HR staff as well.
Pros
My internship experience this summer at SRA International was pretty exciting. I had the opportunity to work on many different projects and gain different perspectives of the whole company and how they operate. I learned a lot and gained a ton of experience there this summer. I recommend interning there to anyone who is interested.
Cons
The pay is decent for an intern, but not as great as some of the other companies out there. Arlington and D.C. in general is a very, very expensive place to live. Sometimes even 18 dollars an hour won't cut it.
Advice to Senior Management
Over the last 2-3 years, as the economy has retracted, college students are becoming more and more competitive. It's a real challenge to land a job out of college now, and students are taking things very, very seriously. I've witnessed this shift or change and am doing everything I can to stay competitive. College hires have a lot to bring to the table these days and that was something I noticed at SRA, so keep it up!
