    Overworked and underpaid.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThe diversity is great; people from all walks of life are employed there. Working in an international airport allows you to meet some interesting people and share some exciting experiences.

ConsThey only care about money; not hospitality or food and especially not the lives hanging in the balance to gain profit. They have got the look down but the operation is whacky because the executives are more financial based than food service and hospitality driven. It's like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole;it doesn't fit.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire people for their skill to best serve the business not to get more bang for your buck. You get what you pay for.

disrespected, overworked all in unprofessional work environment

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsLocation: working at the airport you get to meet and socialize with many interesting people. I had amazing co-workers although that's irrelevant to the way that this company is run.

ConsDisrespectful executive staff, no tips accepted, often understaffed and left with overwhelming crowds to deal with alone, paid time off hidden from employees, management that knows how to operate their stores less than their own employees, no flexibility, no overtime. Very high turnover rate. Partnering with big brand names and not adequately training employees to dispense quality products which in my opinion is a big embarrassment for the companies that they partnered with... serving products not even close to par in quality to the products being served out of the retail non partnered locations.

Mostly good, it was fun and entertaining with daily challenges for entertainment.

    Line Cook (Former Employee)
    Madison, WI

ProsFor the most part everyone was friendly and helpful, the hours I was working were ones that I enjoy working.

ConsThe management seemed to not really understand the way food service works in the restaurant enviroment works. Trainining was fine as was the ways of time off.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to make sure that everybody is on the same page. People can do things differently as long as it is the same product going out the door. In my years in management I have learned you dont hold others to a higher standard than you do yourself. Do not ask others to do any thing you can't do yourself, and ask don't tellb or order.

    Time-Filler: Not a Final Career

    Shift Manager (Former Employee)

ProsThis was at one location - it may be different depending on where it is. Each location is run by a GM, so it depends on who your GM is. For me, flexible schedule, fun coworkers, plenty of autonomy made it ok.

ConsAgain, depends on where you work, but promotions/raises were rare, hours were tough (4am - 12pm or 12pm - 10 or 11), little motivation to work hard.

Advice to Senior ManagementWhen I worked there, one of my jobs was to help implement the customer service program. This was kind of a joke throughout the company. The GM didn't take it seriously, and there were no serious consequences or rewards attached to completing it. Make it more worth while and you might get better results.

    Not the best

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsFast paced environment that allows you to see all different types of people. Very beautiful views with the planes.

ConsNot a great management structure. No real benefits with the airport. Work hours are terrible.

Advice to Senior ManagementStructure needs to be better from the front line up to corporate.

Similar to a weekend at Disneyland...short and sweet.

    Prep Cook (Former Employee)
    Phoenix, AZ

ProsThe pay is good, and most of the time you will work 40 hours a week.

ConsThe managers feel like they can disrespect you if given the chance. Working in a silent environment outside of the managers yelling orders is very unproductive.
